Sooo Its been like three years since I've really bothered to come on DA...and as a result I had over 11,000 deviations all waiting for me, which is waaay too many for me to ever view, what with having to load them and all that. Thank god for the delete all feature, I just cleared em all out and started over...and whaddya know two days later DA decides to make it so people without subscriptions can view thumbnails. Still, even with thumbnails 11,000 deviations would have been a lot, but I mighta stood a chance?

Well, anyways, I've really kind of missed DA. I'm at college now (and by 'now' I really mean that I'll be back there in a month), which happens to have some great scenery that I would love to be able to share, but I don't actually have a camera right now. It on my list of things to buy, right underneath a rug and a tea kettle for my dorm (things my roommate had last year and thus I didn't need to buy) because I'm gonna be an RA, so I get my own room. The downside to that is that I have to supply myself with everything. Luckily aside form a rug and tea kettle I pretty much brought everything in the room last semester, so its actually not a big deal. I do want to see if I can get myself an indoor hammock or something though. I like hammocks. And nobody really cares.

Yay for rambling!

Um...yeah...I like, totally lied when I said I'd post often. In fact, I've been home from China for a while now... And I have waaaay too many deviations on my list....I'm tempted to just clear them all and go from there, but I don't want to miss anyitnhg uber good...sigh...What to do, what to do?

Bwahahaha!! I am in a foreign country!...That's not Canada. Everyone knows a trip to Canada doesn't count if you live in northern US anyways...But anyways! I'm in Shanghai!!

The flight was horribly long....my mom wanted to make sure we got there with plenty of time to go through security and all that...so we left my house around 4am (we were supposed to leave at 3:30, but we weren't really ready ) for a flight that left at six. All in all we had just enough time to grab breakfast before boarding so it was probably a good tihng....and that flight took us to Chicago, where we had to wait five hours in the airport because we were in a secure area and couldn't leave. I almost fell asleep a few times but by then it was almost time to board so I stayed awake....then on the plane to Shanghai, our take off got delayed an hour because we needed to use a certain runway that crossed every other runway in the freakin airport. Luckily me and my mom were at the back of the plane which, as horrible as it sounds, is actually better because there were more free seats. I stole the blanket off of the seat next to me cause I was freezing. And even with two blankets I was still freezing half the time.

Oh! there were little tv screens!! I watched some movie I don't actually know the name of...and I read. Then I tried to sleep but failed. I lost my book, too. I set it on the floor and it went way back to the back of the plane so it was behind the last row... we couldn't find it at first, though, so I tried sleeping again, with little success. And then I listened to music and watched the map (It showed where the plane was!!) for a long time. Which is rather boring. Then we finally found my book and I read for the rest of the flight....finished it right before we got off ^^

And they fed us!! Two whole meals, one small snack, and one big snack. And they gave us drinks a lot. I had lasagnea!! That was the better of the meals. Though the first one had some sort of cake thing....

We're staying in a hotel that's more of an apartment building for rent...There's a bedroom, a dressing room, a den and a kitchen/livingroom. They put a bed for me in the den. The beds are hard and a board, but at least they're not lumpy. I'll take a hard matress over a lumpy one anyday. And the bathroom isn't quite what I expected when compared to the rest of the apartment, but the hot water works ^^ It works quite well...I nearly scalded myself when I tried to shower. Oh! A balcony! We have a balcony!! Its a rather poor excuse for a balcony, but we have one.

Thw whether is horribly humid and hot...I went outside and my glasses steamed up. Apparently I can expect that every day, too...

I'll try to post as often as I can to keep in touch, seeing as the afternoons here are early morning in the states/canada, where most of my friends live, so they won't really be on to talk to me...

Ja ne!

Yay! I'm 16!! ...I'm gonna have to remember that, aren't I? Well...by the time I turn 17 I'm sure I'll remember to tell people I'm 16....wonder what I'm gonna get for my birthday? Nothing from my dad cause he hasn't gotten me anytihng since he stopped trying to win me over from my mom...my friends and I don't really exchange presents....my grandma gave me money, my other grandma will hopefully stick to money...and my third grandma (Yes, I have three) will probably get me some article of clothing that I will never wear in my life. I asked my mom for money cause there isn't really anything I want...and my boyfriend bought me a book (cause that's all I told him I wanted and he refused to give me money) and something else that he won't tell me what it is. If its jewelry I reserve the right to smack him....

I wonder if my mom will at least buy me a cake...I hope so. I cake ^^ Especially the Carvel kind with the little crunchies in it...

subscription gone....It makes me sad. I wish I could afford to buy one....but I can't. And considering my art is horrid it probably wouldn't really be worth it anyways
